Custom Designed Die Cutting Systems

As a large company with a large group of experienced electro mechanical engineers from the field of soft cut die conversion we have a very good understanding of material handling and conversion.  From our extensive workshop facilities and in-house engineering staff we are now designing and building custom made systems for customer needing machines to go that bit further or for products that need special handling and converting.


As an example project, the customer required a solution to cutting waste carpet tiles into small parts for further recycling.  Cutting Systems was briefed on the tooling to be used, its loading and unloading, also how they wanted to load the system with the tiles to be cut.

Cutting systems designed a fully automated system, so that the customer operatives simply loaded waste tiles into the rear of the machine direct from the principle cutting lines, the new system feeds the tiles into the cutting area and offloads them onto a conveyor belt taking them to large storage bags.

Recent Projects

Other recent projects include:

  • The cutting of face paint, paint capsules, from moulded multiples into singles in a semi automated process.
  • The cutting of moulded pyramid shaped roofing and ground drainage roll material, requiring accurate tooling to cut holes in-between the peaks, a cutting board pad shift and also cut part (pip) cavity collecting box within the tool.
